〔Job purpose〕
The Product Manager will lead the strategic planning, positioning, and lifecycle management of oncology genomic testing solutions. This role serves as a critical bridge between Product Management and Clinical Laboratory Services, ensuring the seamless translation of technical, operational, and quality requirements into clinically relevant and commercially viable solutions.
The individual is expected to develop a deep understanding of NGS assay technologies, including workflow dependencies, automation requirements, and data pipeline considerations, and effectively communicate these aspects across cross-functional teams.
Working closely with Medical Affairs and Marketing, this role translates complex genomic information into clear, actionable value propositions for clinicians and stakeholders, while supporting effective product implementation across markets.
This individual should demonstrate flexibility, maturity, and a positive, solution-oriented mindset, and thrive in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
〔Working relationship〕
Internal: R&D; Clinical Lab Services NGS team, Medical Affairs, Bio-informatics, Regulatory, Quality assurance, Sales, Marketing and Business development teams.
〔Key accountabilities〕
1. Manage cross-functional coordination with Clinical Lab Services teams, R&D, Regulatory, Quality, and commercial teams to resolve issues impacting assay performance or delivery.
2. Lead new product launch planning
3. Support product lifecycle activities, including change management, design updates, and process optimizations.
〔Requirements〕
◆ New Product Planning & Launch
1. Lead new product development planning, including: Product concept and specifications, Clinical utility definition, Pricing strategy and market fit
2. Develop go-to-market strategy and support global-to-local implementation
3. Partner with Marketing to ensure consistent and effective launch execution
◆ Technical & Product Management
1. Serve as a liaison between product management, and clinical lab services teams.
2. Understand and articulate the technical details of the NGS assay, including workflow dependencies, automation components, and data pipeline impacts.
3. Support the execution of new product introductions, product line extensions, and assay optimization initiatives.
4. Ensure documentation, specifications, and process updates are maintained accurately and in compliance with quality systems.
◆ Cross-Functional Collaboration
1. Partner closely with the Lab Director to align tactical operations with strategic goals.
2. Work with Sales and Marketing teams to address post-launch feedback, product issues, and customer escalations.
3. Work with Medical Affairs closely for clinical strategy, evidence needs, and scientific messaging.
4. Collaborate with Regulatory, Clinical, and Quality teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards and readiness for audits or submissions.
〔Preferred〕
1. Life science, bioengineering, molecular biology background
2. 2 years with a master's degree or PhD is a plus
3. NGS, molecular diagnostics, oncology, or precision medicine preferred.
4. Cross-functional collaboration in healthcare or biotech.
5. Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical skills.
