Job profile

The Senior Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating clinical service projects involving patient samples, laboratory operations, and cross-functional clinical stakeholders to ensure timely execution, regulatory compliance, and successful project delivery.

The role coordinates projects from study initiation and contract execution through sample collection, laboratory testing, data delivery, and project closure. The role collaborates closely among Principle Investigators, Hospitals, Sales, Laboratory, Operations, QA, Legal, Accounting and teams across regions.

The ideal candidate is an effective communicator with strong execution and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities, navigating ambiguity, and fostering collaboration across stakeholders in a fast-paced, cross-regional environment.

Key accountabilities

1. Leadership

  • Take ownership of assigned projects and drive progress from initiation to completion
  • Foster a collaborative and positive working environment across teams

2. Communication

  • Exhibits high emotional intelligence, with the ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences and needs
  • Coordinate communication among external stakeholders (e.g. investigators, hospitals, sponsors), and internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, lab, QA, Legal) throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings, status updates, and alignment discussions
  • Prepare and deliver project reports and updates to relevant stakeholders

3. Problem Solving

  • Proactively identify project risks, issues, and bottlenecks
  • Apply critical thinking to analyze challenges and propose practical solutions
  • Escalate issues appropriately with recommended action plans
  • Support teams in resolving operational and project-related challenges

4. Project execution

  • Lead end-to-end project planning and actively participate in execution to ensure timely, high-quality delivery
  • Develop and manage project timelines, milestones, and detailed execution plans
  • Define project scope, deliverables, and timelines with stakeholders while driving execution of key activities
  • Ensure project execution complies with applicable SOPs, GCP, privacy regulations, and laboratory requirements.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure alignment with business objectives through regular stakeholder communication

5. Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve project workflows and operational efficiency
  • Support implementation of standardized processes and best practices
  • Enhance visibility through improved tracking, reporting, and communication tools
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across teams and regions

Requirements

Essential

(1.) Minimum Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Engineering, Business, or related fields.

(2.) 3-5 years of project management experience, preferably supporting clinical research, biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare products.

(3.) Proficient with project management methodologies, tools and software

(4.) Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills

(5.) Proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English, verbal and written

Additional Qualifications

(1.) Project Management qualifications (e.g. PMP or PRINCE2) is desirable.

(2.) Taiwan Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Certification is highly preferred

(3.) Experience managing projects involving human specimens is highly preferred

(4.) AI tool proficiency is a plus
