The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) is tasked to undertake, encourage, promote and facilitate urban renewal of Hong Kong in accordance with the provisions of the Urban Renewal Authority Ordinance and the Urban Renewal Strategy published by the Government. The URA adopts a comprehensive and holistic approach by ways of its two core businesses i.e. redevelopment and rehabilitation, as well as preservation, revitalisation and retrofitting, for creating a sustainable and quality living environment for the people of Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
Report to Executive Director, Operations to strengthen the policy and standards for building rehabilitation
Review and enhance contract templates for building rehabilitation to align with the URA's evolving support services for owners
Establish standardized project management and contract management frameworks for mandatory adoption by consultants and contractors in building rehabilitation
Drive the formulation of policies and standards for building rehabilitation aligned with the URA's strategic goals, including working instructions and operational procedures for support services
Conduct in-depth research on industry best practices, emerging trends, and relevant regulations to inform the development of forward-thinking policies and standards
Manage stakeholder engagement to foster collaboration and communication
Enhance efficiency and ensure compliance across building rehabilitation projects
Requirements:
Degree holder preferably with building / construction / surveying professional qualifications (MHKIA / MHKIS / MCIOB) or other equivalent professional qualifications
Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in the building rehabilitation / construction field
Extensive experience in contract and project management
Strong language skills, and data an alytics capabilities
Good knowledge of Building Management Ordinance and its operation
