About the role

The Resource Management Manager is responsible for leading workforce planning and resource optimization strategies to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, analytical expertise, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while driving governance and continuous improvement across Resource management processes.

You will:

Workforce Planning & Optimization

  • Develop and execute resource allocation strategies to maximize utilization and operational efficiency across teams and projects.

  • Lead workforce planning initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and project demands.

  • Establish governance frameworks and performance dashboards to monitor resource allocation and utilization.

Performance Monitoring & Analytics

  • Oversee monitoring of workforce and project performance against KPIs and SLAs.

  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making at leadership level.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Drive the design and enhancement of dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI to visualize resource utilization and performance metrics.

  • Ensure data integrity, compliance, and adherence to governance standards.

System Administration & Process Improvement

  • Manage and optimize project management systems and related tools for resource planning and utilization reporting.

  • Collaborate with platform teams to implement system enhancements based on business needs and user feedback.

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across Resource management processes.

Governance & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Lead governance activities, including project reporting and compliance reviews.

  • Facilitate regular alignment meetings with business leaders and key stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on workforce planning and resource strategy.

You bring:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field.

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in resource/resource management within large-scale or complex organizations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role.

  • Proven experience with project management systems (e.g., MS Project, Clarity, or similar) and timesheet management tools.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros) and PowerPoint.

  • Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI required Tableau is a plus).

  • Knowledge of IT project lifecycle and resource planning methodologies preferred.

  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior executives.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Language Skills

  • Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
