Project Co-ordinator II (carrying the job title of Project Officer)

The Centre for Learning Enhancement And Research (CLEAR) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong is dedicated to advancing teaching and learning excellence at the university level. Working closely with faculties and departments, CLEAR fosters educational innovation and supports the professional development of educators. Building on its extensive experience in promoting innovative practices in tertiary education, CLEAR also extends its expertise to primary and secondary schools through various learning enhancement projects. These initiatives aim to strengthen collaboration between the University and schools, contributing to the broader educational community.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Project Co-ordinator to join our project team in promoting AI education and the integration of AI into education in local secondary and primary schools. As a key member of the team, this role will be pivotal in project co-ordination and administration, teacher engagement and support, as well as event planning and execution. The appointee will be responsible for (a) ensuring the smooth operation of the project, including managing logistics and co-ordinating efforts across all components (b) overseeing the project timeline and ensuring alignment, providing administrative support, collaborating with partners, managing scheduling, and handling reporting and documentation (c) planning workshops for stakeholders, including logistics management, recruitment, communication, and feedback collection and analysis (d) co-ordinating with participating schools and partners to schedule and facilitate consultation meetings and track the progress of in-school support (e) preparing detailed plans, progress updates, and reports to effectively communicate the impact and outcomes of teacher support initiatives and (f) performing any additional projects or ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Applicants should have (i) a good Bachelor's degree (ii) at least 2 years post-qualification work experience, preferably in Project Management, Account Management or Customer Service (iii) a strong understanding of emerging technologies in education and familiarity with AI application in educational contexts (iv) excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to effectively engage with teachers, parents, and students (v) a collaborative work attitude, self-motivation, and a strong sense of commitment (vi) proficiency in English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua) and (vii) passion for education and dedication to grooming the next generation.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 2 years (with contract-end gratuity for a 2-year contract) commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
