The firm provides end-to-end solutions across fund administration, accounting, compliance, governance, investor services, and regulatory support, working with a broad range of private equity, hedge fund, venture capital, real estate, and institutional investment clients globally.
As part of continued APAC expansion, the business is looking to hire a commercially driven Business Development Director to focus on new client acquisition, relationship development, and strategic growth initiatives across the alternatives ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business origination and revenue growth across APAC within the alternatives and fund services space
- Identify and develop relationships with fund managers, investment firms, institutional clients, and other market participants
- Lead and coordinate RFPs, RFIs, fee proposals, and commercial discussions with prospective clients
- Develop a strong understanding of client operating models and fund structures in order to position tailored fund services solutions
- Work closely with internal operational and product teams across fund accounting, investor services, compliance, onboarding, and corporate services
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with law firms, auditors, custodians, banks, consultants, and other referral partners
- Maintain strong market intelligence across competitor activity, industry trends, and emerging opportunities within private markets and alternatives
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings across the region
- Support regional sales strategy and contribute to broader commercial growth initiatives across APAC
Ideal Background
- 8+ years of experience in business development, client coverage, or commercial roles within fund administration, investor services, securities services, or alternative investments
- Strong understanding of private equity, hedge funds, alternative asset structures, and fund servicing environments
- Proven track record in originating and developing institutional or fund manager relationships
- Prior exposure to fund administration, investor services, fiduciary, or related financial services solutions
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to engage consultatively with sophisticated clients
- Experience handling proposals, commercial negotiations, and complex client discussions
- Highly self-driven, relationship-oriented, and comfortable operating in a regional capacity
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
