Job Description

The Asset Management Business Transformation (BT) is a global team partnering with various Asset Management business lines to deliver impactful global and regional change programs. Our assignments stem from priorities set by the Asset Management Operating Committee, as well as from anticipating and responding to significant industry or regulatory changes. You will engage directly with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, and collaborate across a broad range of business lines and functions to drive meaningful change throughout Asset Management.

As a Business Transformation Associate in Asset Management, you will join our group as a motivated project manager or business analyst, and preferably, with some business experience in relation to requirements analysis, specification writing, solution design, resolution of issues, and project management and / or consulting experience. Guided by one of the more senior project managers within the group, the candidate is expected to take ownership of assigned projects / workstreams, leading / supporting analysis and solution design, and working collaboratively and flexibly with the project team and cross-functional business stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the business to identify solutions for the enhancement, development and implementation of scalable and robust operating models, ensuring alignment to strategic business priorities
  • Take accountability for delivering initiatives on time, managing efficient implementation, and ensuring seamless transition and ownership within the business.
  • Integrate AI, automation, and the latest technology developments at every stage of the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver regular updates to business stakeholders, including C-suite executives, through working groups to review performance and ensure change goals are aligned and monitored.
  • Produce comprehensive project documentation, including project initiation documents, business requirements, project plans, risk and issue logs, status reports, closure reports, lessons learned, and post-implementation reviews.
  • Coordinate with business teams to ensure operating model design, build, and implementation are accepted and approved by all stakeholders prior to go-live.
  • Manage delivery of business communications, both internal and external, and train business teams to support transition to business as usual and project closure.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at an asset management or financial services firm
  • Demonstrated ability as a proactive, strategic self-starter with strong project management and business analyst skills (project planning, stakeholder engagement, requirements specification, solution development, risk and issue management, implementation, data analysis, and technology solution development).
  • Proven experience building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, with excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience developing project-related documentation and maintaining robust project governance.
  • Ability to translate requirements into solution designs and facilitate prioritization.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including change management, business, and third-party vendors.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities concurrently to achieve successful outcomes for the business and colleagues.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills in English.
  • Intermediate or advanced proficiency in all MS Office applications.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) will be a plus.
