Job Summary
You will manage comprehensive accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role involves coordinating audits, tax filings, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to support financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Execute month-end closing activities, maintaining accurate journal entries and monthly reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare and compile detailed financial and management reports for decision-making
- Develop audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits to facilitate compliance
- Apply corporate tax knowledge to perform tax computations and ensure timely GST and WHT submissions
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to manage statutory audits, AGM, and tax filing processes
- Manage accounts payable functions by processing invoices and payments accurately and timely
- Coordinate with banks and internal departments to resolve operational and financial matters efficiently
- Maintain the cash book with proper records and supporting documents for accurate bookkeeping
- Perform other ad-hoc accounting and finance duties as assigned to support business needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
- Proven experience handling a full set of accounts independently
- Familiarity with tax compliance requirements and accounting practices
- Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and other professional service providers
- Real estate or property industry experience is highly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills with the ability to work independently
