Job Summary
Perform comprehensive accounting functions including month-end closing, tax computations, audit coordination, and financial reporting to support accurate financial management and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Execute full spectrum of accounting functions including month-end closing, maintaining accurate journal entries, and performing monthly reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Submit GST and Withholding Tax (WHT) filings in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare and compile financial and management reports to support business decision-making
- Develop audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits to facilitate smooth audit processes
- Apply corporate tax knowledge to compute taxes accurately and ensure compliance
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on matters related to annual general meetings (AGM), statutory audits, and yearly tax filings
- Manage accounts payable functions to maintain timely and accurate payment processing
- Coordinate with banks and internal departments to resolve operational accounting matters efficiently
- Maintain cash book records and supporting documentation for accounting and bookkeeping accuracy
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned to support the finance team and business operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant finance/accounting experience
- Proven experience handling full set of accounts independently
- Familiarity with tax compliance requirements and accounting practices
- Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and other professional service providers
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Experience in the real estate/property industry is highly preferred
