Job Summary
You will manage comprehensive accounting functions, including month-end closing, tax compliance, audit coordination, and financial reporting to support the company's financial integrity and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Execute month-end closing activities by maintaining accurate journal entries and performing monthly reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
- Prepare and compile detailed financial and management reports to support business decision-making
- Develop audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure compliance and transparency
- Apply corporate tax knowledge to compute taxes accurately and ensure timely GST and WHT submissions
- Liaise effectively with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on annual AGM, statutory audit, and tax filing matters to maintain regulatory compliance
- Manage accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
- Coordinate with banks and internal departments to resolve operational and financial matters efficiently
- Maintain the cash book and organize supporting documents for accounting and bookkeeping accuracy
- Perform other ad-hoc accounting and finance duties as assigned to support team objectives
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
- Proven ability to handle a full set of accounts independently
- Experience in the real estate or property industry is highly preferred
- Familiarity with tax compliance requirements and accounting practices
- Experience liaising with external auditors, tax agents, and other professional service providers
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills with the ability to work independently
