1.Formulate and execute global patent portfolio management strategies, including patent filing, maintenance, licensing, and integration of acquired patents.
2.Support standard-essential patent (SEP) licensing and litigation strategies across technologies such as H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, 4G/5G, and Wi-Fi 6/6E.
3.Analyze patent documents to identify potential defenses such as invalidity, non-essentiality, non-infringement, and non-FRAND royalty claims.
4.Collaborate with external counsel and cross-border teams to handle patent litigation and licensing negotiations in multiple jurisdictions including the United States, Germany, UPC, Brazil, UK and India etc.
5.Monitor global patent policies, court precedents, and industry developments.
6.Support patent due diligence, competitive analysis, and technology portfolio planning.
Required:
1.Education: Masters degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related fields.
2.Experience: Over 10 years of experience in patent management, licensing, or patent litigation.
3.Skills:
a.Strong knowledge of patent law, SEPs, and international licensing (FRAND) issues;
b.Experience in cross-border patent litigation (particularly before the CAFC, UPC, or German courts);
c.Familiarity with technical standards in video coding, wireless communications, and the Internet of Things;
d.Proficient in written and spoken English, with the ability to independently draft legal documents in English and communicate with international teams;
e.Excellent project management skills and cross-functional collaboration experience;
f.Ability to analyze complex technical documents and translate findings into legal strategies.
Preferred:
1.Participation in patent pool negotiations or large-scale licensing deals;
2.Prior experience working in the patent department of a large corporation;
3.Strong self-motivation with a high level of personal drive and initiative;
4.Enjoys tackling challenges and working in high-pressure, complex situations
