Works Supervisor I/II (Housekeeping)The appointee will be assigned to supervise one or several frontline cleaning teams, and to ensure smooth operation of staff quarters and University buildings, including classrooms and washrooms. Duties include (a) supervising direct staff and monitoring contractors (b) taking up the role of building manager (c) performing building inspection (d) handling customer enquiries and complaints and (e) performing other duties as assigned. Working overtime, on shifts and on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays may be required when necessary.Applicants should have (i) a Diploma or Higher Certificate, preferably in Estates Management, from a recognised university or technical institute OR at least 5 years relevant site supervising experience, with Grade C/Level 3 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE/HKDSE (including English and Mathematics) (ii) at least 3 years supervisory experience in housekeeping, classroom management or estates management subsequent to fulfilling (i) above (iii) good interpersonal and problem-solving skills and (iv) a good command of English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua). Possession of a valid driving licence (Classes 1 and 2) is preferred. Applicants who do not fulfil (ii) on the above but have at least 1 year's relevant post-qualification work experience may be considered for appointment as Works Supervisor II.
