Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO)

Job Scope

We are looking for a Workplace Safety & Health Officer to support project site safety management and ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health requirements.

The WSHO will be responsible for implementing site safety procedures, conducting inspections, advising the project team, and ensuring that workplace risks are properly managed.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the site WSH management system
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts or conditions
• Review Risk Assessments, Safe Work Procedures and Permit-To-Work systems
• Advise project teams, supervisors, subcontractors and workers on WSH matters
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and WSH training where required
• Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses
• Prepare WSH reports, inspection records and corrective action follow-ups
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance
• Support internal and external WSH audits
• Liaise with clients, consultants, main contractors and authorities on safety matters
• Ensure high-risk activities are properly planned, supervised and controlled
• Recommend improvement measures to strengthen site safety performance

Requirements

• Must be a MOM-registered Workplace Safety & Health Officer
• Relevant construction / infrastructure / industrial project experience preferred
• Good knowledge of WSH Act, regulations and local site safety practices
• Able to work independently and manage site safety matters professionally
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to prepare reports, records and safety documentation
• Responsible, reliable and able to handle site pressure
• Strong follow-up and documentation discipline
• Possessed an Environmental Control Officer License under NEA will be an advantage
• Must be willing to travel to different project sites across Singapore for inspections, meetings, audits and project support
