Due to the expansion of the business in Asia, our client who, is the US commercial bank, currently have openings for Corporate/Commercial Banking Relationship Manager (VP/FVP level).
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the General Manager of the team.
Responsibilities:
- Solicit new businesses / clients, participate in business development activities, achieving KPIs
- Develop, manage, and expand relationships with mid to large-sized Hong Kong corporates, including listed companies and cross-border clients
- Understand clients strategic goals, operations, capital structure, to deliver suitable financial solutions including trade finance, working capital loans, term loans, syndicated loans, cash management, and treasury services
- Cross-sell banking products by collaborating with internal product partners (e.g., deposits, FX and others)
- Ensure all account opening, KYC, and AML documentation complies with HKMA regulatory requirements and internal compliance standards
- Participate in business development activities, including attending networking events, pitching to new clients, and identifying market opportunities
- Prepare and submit comprehensive credit proposals, including financial analysis, industry assessment, and risk identification
- Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned, and provide guidance to junior RMs, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in finance, Business, Economics or a related discipline professional qualifications (e.g. CFA, CPA) would be a plus
- Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience in corporate/commercial banking in the capacity as relationship manager
- Proven sales track record and ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Good understanding of local banking regulations (e.g. HKMA guidelines, AML/KYC compliance).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
- Strong credit analysis, structuring, and risk assessment skills
- Proficient in MS Office experience with internal CRM and risk systems a plus
- Excellent management, planning and organizing skills
