Risk Management Group works closely with our business partners to manage the bank's risk exposure by balancing its objective to maximise returns against an acceptable risk profile. We partner with origination teams to provide financing, investments and hedging opportunities to our customers. To manage risk effectively and run a successful business, we invest significantly in our people and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive market and liquidity risk management strategies to ensure the bank's compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk appetite
- Analyze market trends, economic conditions, and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess the bank's resilience to adverse market conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the bank's risk management framework and decision-making processes
- Provide expert guidance and recommendations to senior management on market and liquidity risk-related matters
- Continuously monitor and report on the bank's market and liquidity risk profile, identifying and addressing any emerging risks
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in market and liquidity risk management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and derive meaningful insights
- Proficient in the use of risk management tools and techniques, including quantitative modeling and simulation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex risk-related information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated track record of successfully implementing risk management strategies and initiatives
- Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry best practices
