Information Technology Services (ITS) provides central IT services to support the University's teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. ITS is transforming its organization to support its new strategic development and embrace new technologies. Information about ITS can be obtained at .

We are currently looking for a UX/UI Designer to join us in shaping and enhancing the University's digital experience across web, mobile, and e-learning platforms. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on challenging and user-centric projects, leveraging their design expertise to create intuitive interfaces, craft seamless user journeys, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital solutions.

The Role

  • Design and specify end-to-end UX/UI for digital application projects across various channels, including mobile apps, websites, and e-learning platforms
  • Translate business and user requirements into user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, from initial research to UAT and launch
  • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components to ensure visual and functional consistency across all digital touchpoints
  • Plan and conduct usability testing and design reviews, analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback, and iterate on designs to improve usability and overall user satisfaction

Qualifications and Qualities

  • Bachelor's degree or above in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Multimedia Design, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio showcasing applicable skills
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, attentive to details, and capable of managing multiple tasks
  • Basic knowledge of web standards (eg. HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and mobile frameworks (eg. React Native and Flutter) is preferred but not a must
  • Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a deep understanding of user experience principles
  • Experience in conducting or collaborating on user research and usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements
  • Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design, design systems, and component-based design approaches

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
