Information Technology Services (ITS) provides central IT services to support the University's teaching, learning, research and administrative activities. We are currently looking for a UX/UI Designer to join us in shaping and enhancing the University's digital experience across web, mobile, and e-learning platforms. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on challenging and user-centric projects, leveraging their design expertise to create intuitive interfaces, craft seamless user journeys, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful digital solutions.

The Role

• Design and specify end-to-end UX/UI for digital application projects across various channels, including mobile apps, websites, and e-learning platforms
• Translate business and user requirements into user journeys, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs
• Work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle, from initial research to UAT and launch
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components to ensure visual and functional consistency across all digital touchpoints
• Plan and conduct usability testing and design reviews, analyze qualitative and quantitative feedback, and iterate on designs to improve usability and overall user satisfaction

Qualifications and Qualities

• Bachelor's degree or above in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Multimedia Design, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with a strong portfolio showcasing applicable skills
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
• Good organizational and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated, attentive to details, and capable of managing multiple tasks
• Basic knowledge of web standards (eg. HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and mobile frameworks (eg. React Native and Flutter) is preferred but not a must
• Strong visual and interaction design skills, with a deep understanding of user experience principles
• Experience in conducting or collaborating on user research and usability testing, and translating insights into design improvements
• Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design, design systems, and component-based design approaches

What We Offer

The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years, and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
