The Utility Maintenance Lead is the technical leader of the Utility cell, responsible for ensuring equipment and utility systems are maintained at standard conditions using IWS methodology. He/She supports and coaches the line team while driving the elimination of maintenance-related losses.
As Utility Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for the following:
- Own and manage line systems, including breakdown elimination and maintenance planning and scheduling. Ensure reliable operations by maintaining standards, documentation, and executing preventive and condition-based maintenance.
- Lead defect handling, breakdown analysis, and maintenance standards while supporting teams in maintaining equipment base conditions. Perform deep analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
- Manage maintenance-related daily systems, ensuring accurate downtime tracking and proper execution of maintenance plans. Monitor costs, update budgets, and report to the Cell Lead to support effective OPEX management.
- Train and guide technicians and operators on equipment and utility systems. Build and strengthen the team's technical skills and capabilities.
- Ensure a safe workplace by following health and safety standards and maintaining proper control measures. Promote safe behavior by reporting hazards, incidents, and continuously improving safety practices.
- Handle additional tasks and projects as assigned by the manager. Provide support as needed to meet team and organizational goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing environments, with exposure to production and utility systems (FMCG experience is a plus).
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and data analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends and drive improvements in safety, quality, energy, and productivity.
- Hands-on experience with utilities, facility systems, and maintenance tools such as SAP, IWS/TPM, Power BI, and Microsoft applications (dashboard experience is an advantage).
- Good communication skills in Chinese (written and verbal); English proficiency is preferred.
- Strong collaboration and leadership abilities, with experience in coaching, influencing others, and a proactive mindset in driving solutions and continuous improvement.
