Test Project Manager (Product Assurance / Server Platforms)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Test Project Manager to lead and coordinate end-to-end product validation projects for Lenovo server platforms. This role sits within the Product Assurance (PA) / Testing organization and plays a critical role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, with quality, and aligned to customer and business expectations.

As a Test Project Manager, you will act as the central coordination point across multiple testing functions and development partners, driving execution through influence, structured project management, and strong stakeholder engagement. This is a project leadership role, not a hands-on testing position.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage end-to-end test and validation projects for Lenovo server systems from planning through execution and delivery
Act as the PA representative for assigned projects, coordinating across multiple testing functions including hardware, software, reliability, and certification/compliance
Build strong working partnerships with Development-side Technical Project Managers (TPMs) to align schedules, resources, and deliverables
Drive project planning, scope management, scheduling, risk management, and issue resolution across virtual, cross-functional teams
Track execution progress, identify risks or delays early, and proactively propose mitigation plans
Consolidate inputs from multiple teams and deliver clear, structured project status updates to senior stakeholders
Influence and motivate internal teams and partners to meet quality, delivery, and customer commitments
Apply standard project management methodologies and Lenovo internal PM processes to support business growth and project scalability

Demonstrated experience managing complex, cross-functional projects end to end, including planning, execution tracking, risk management, and delivery accountability.

Clear, structured communicator who can articulate project challenges, decisions, and actions, especially in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.

Good-to-Have Competencies

Testing or Product Validation Exposure
Working knowledge of product validation, testing, or quality disciplines (hardware/software/certification), sufficient to engage effectively with technical teams.
Technical or Engineering Background
Prior experience in engineering, development, or technical roles that strengthens credibility in cross-functional discussions.
Agile & PM Tooling Experience
Exposure to Agile project delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Required & Preferred Experience

Required

5+ years of experience delivering projects within the IT, technology, or engineering domain
3+ years of hands-on project management experience managing complex, end-to-end projects
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Fluent in English (written and verbal)

Preferred

PMP or equivalent project management certification
Experience managing projects across multiple geographies and virtual teams
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
