Your Job

The Technical Sales Engineer-Design In (Internal title: Account Manager) is responsible for driving product adoption by leading technical design in engagements, proofs of concept (POCs), and application engineering to get our solutions specified and integrated into customer products. You will own technical presales activities that demonstrate fit, validate performance, reduce risk, and accelerate the transition from evaluation to production, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to drive time to win and revenue growth.

This role reports to the Director of Sales and partner closely with Sales, Product Management, and Engineering to enable customers to successfully integrate our products into their designs, accelerating time to win and revenue growth

What You Will Do

  • Lead technical design in engagements with assigned ODM accounts in Taiwan, driving product adoption through hands on technical work and strategic account influence.
  • Collaborate with BU and FAE teams to develop and deliver proofs of concept (POCs) and reference designs that validate performance and reduce customer risk.
  • Provide pre and post sales technical support, including system architecture guidance, product recommendations, and the creation of application notes.
  • Deliver technical proposals and application notes by identifying and deeply investigating business opportunities that emerge from daily customer engagements with Sales.
  • Lead POCs, evaluations, reference designs, and onsite integration support in partnership with BU, FAE, and Sales to ensure successful technical outcomes and timely progress.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal stakeholders, translating customer requirements into engineering tasks and actionable product feedback.
  • Gather voice of customer (VOC) inputs and provide immediate, appropriate solutions to build customer trust and influence decision making through demos, training, and technical proposals.
  • Coordinate with Product Management, R&D, SI, QA, and Manufacturing to align timelines, prioritize deliverables, and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.
  • Enable the sales organization by supporting technical scoping, RFP responses, and articulating competitive differentiation and design in value propositions.
  • Train and equip Sales teams on product capabilities, design in value, and technical messaging to accelerate customer adoption.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • BS/BA in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or a closely related technical field).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical sales engineering, applications engineering, field applications, or ODM EE/ME with hands on integration and design in experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present effectively to C suite and engineering audiences.
  • Practical system level thinking and strong problem solving skills demonstrated through hands on technical work (POCs, integration, testing).
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin with a strong customer focus.

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)


  • Prior experience leading design in engagements with ODM accounts in Taiwan.
  • Proven track record delivering POCs, evaluations, and reference designs and providing onsite integration support.
  • Experience coordinating cross functional projects with Product Management, R&D, SI, QA, and Manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to support RFP responses, develop technical proposals, and articulate competitive differentiation to accelerate design wins.
