Job Description

Role Summary:
Data and technology have revolutionized industrial manufacturing, transitioning operations from manual processes to automated, system-driven approaches. We are seeking a skilled and passionate Technical Leader to lead a team in delivering scalable, reusable, and high-performance data-driven solutions.

In this role, you will oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of data solutions tailored to MES and manufacturing data environments. You will lead a team to deliver end-to-end project execution, ensuring alignment with business needs and priorities. Leveraging your expertise in software development, data modeling, and ETL/ELT processes, you will create automated, efficient systems that provide valuable insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead a technical team to deliver large-scale, reliable data warehousing solutions using AWS, Databricks, and SQL Server to support MES and manufacturing data needs.
  • Design and implement efficient data pipelines, build optimized aggregates, and deliver reporting solutions.
  • Possess a deep understanding of data warehouse methodologies, data architecture, data modeling, and digital metadata.
  • Automate data transformations and aggregations using CI/CD practices to ensure high performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical roadmaps.
  • Integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring consistency and accuracy for manufacturing and MES-related datasets.
  • Work within Agile/DevOps frameworks to deliver iterative solutions through sprints.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, ensuring successful project delivery and skill development within the team.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with manufacturing processes, including MES, QA.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in data warehouse design, data engineering, and software development, with a focus on MES and manufacturing environments.
  • Proven expertise in data modeling, database table design, and writing/reviewing complex SQL queries. Python programming experience is required.
  • Proficiency in Git for version control, including branching, merging, and pull requests.
  • Experience in implementing data modeling and pipelines on AWS Cloud, Databricks, or MS SQL Server.
  • Strong ability to assess business requirements and perform complex data computations and analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry data domains, such as MES and QA, is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile/SCRUM process management.
  • Ability to conceptualize, plan, document, and effectively communicate technical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to rapidly changing technologies and environments.
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication, problem-solving, and critical analysis.
  • Fluent in English, with exceptional written and spoken communication skills.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
