  • The System Validation Tester is responsible for validating laptop and desktop PC systems at the system, application, and hardware levels to ensure overall product quality and release readiness.
  • This role executes validation activities, identifies cross-layer issues, performs basic debugging, and provides actionable feedback to improve system stability and test effectiveness.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Perform system-level validation for laptop and desktop platforms, including hardware, operating systems, drivers, firmware interactions, and applications
  • Execute functional, integration, regression, and ad-hoc testing to identify system-level issues and risks
  • Log defects with clear reproduction steps, accurate severity assessment, and supporting evidence
  • Perform basic debugging and issue isolation to determine whether failures are related to software, hardware, configuration, or usage
  • Collect and analyze logs, system information, and test results to support issue investigation
  • Validate new hardware configurations, system features, or software updates and support test scope definition
  • Manage multiple validation tasks or projects and communicate status, risks, and schedule impacts proactively
  • Provide regular updates on validation progress, system readiness, and key quality risks
  • Review and provide feedback on test plans to improve coverage, clarity, and efficiency
  • Build, maintain, and configure test systems according to validation requirements
  • Effectively use validation and tracking tools, including bug tracking systems, databases, and diagnostic utilities

Work Experience

  • Ability to perform basic system-level debugging and problem isolation
  • Familiarity with common PC validation, diagnostic, and troubleshooting tools
  • Proficient in standard productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office)
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Capable of reading and understanding technical documentation and test procedures
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in QA, validation, computer science, or a related technical field
  • Should have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience
  • Fundamental knowledge of PC systems, including hardware components, operating systems, drivers, and applications
