Key Responsibilities
1. Capital Market Initiatives
Support the evaluation and execution of capital allocation strategies to optimize our balance sheet and fund growth. Daily tasks include:
- Analyzing capital market trends (e.g., debt/equity, M&A) to inform financing decisions
- Building and updating financial models to assess funding options, cost of capital, and risk-return profiles
- Collaborating with Corporate Finance to prepare materials for presentations, or debt/equity issuances
- Partnering with IR to refine messaging around capital structure changes and market positioning
2. Strategic Investment Initiatives
Play a critical role in evaluating opportunities to expand our business through M&A, partnership, or minority investments. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting financial due diligence on potential targets/partners, including valuation analysis (DCF, comparable analysis), scenario modeling, and synergies assessment
- Supporting Corporate Development in structuring deals, drafting term sheets, and presenting recommendations to leadership
- Analyzing portfolio performance and divestiture opportunities to reallocate capital toward high-growth areas
- Creating data-driven investment memos to summarize findings for business leaders and relevant stakeholders
3. Investor Relations Initiatives
Enhance transparency and investor confidence by bridging finance and external stakeholders. Daily work involves:
- Assisting IR in preparing earnings releases, quarterly reports, and investor presentations, translating complex financial data into clear, compelling narratives
- Analyzing market sentiment and competitor performance to identify key investor questions and risks
- Supporting earnings calls and investor days by drafting talking points, rehearsing Q&A scenarios, and tracking follow-up actions
- Maintaining databases of investor feedback, analyst reports, and market trends to inform IR strategy
Qualifications
- Education: Pursuing or recent graduate (within 3 years) of a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA candidates welcome) preferred
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions), financial modeling, and PowerPoint familiarity with capital markets, valuation methods, and accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS)
- Analytical Mindset: Strong quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable insights
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal skills ability to present complex ideas to non-finance stakeholders
