Job Description

Position Impact

This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring Gogoro's financial practices adhere to SEC, Nasdaq, and IFRS standards, maintaining compliance with all regulatory and industry requirements. Beyond compliance, the position serves as a strategic partner to the CFO, Revenue, Business Development, and other key functions, providing expert accounting insights on P&L, BS, and SOCF to guide business transactions with both short- and long-term perspectives. Working closely with the CFO, Accounting, and Operations teams, this role also focuses on monitoring and analyzing critical business metrics defined by the Strategy Office and CFO Office, including non-IFRS gross profit, gross margin, adjusted EBITDA, syndicated loan covenants, and operating cash flow, ensuring alignment with Gogoro's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting technical accounting research: Conducting technical accounting research in business transactions and providing recommendations and solutions.
  • Advising on business development: Advising CFO on business development from accounting, SEC and Nasdaq compliance perspective.
  • Creating and applying business intelligence: Creating business intelligence (BI) internally and externally by collecting and analyzing data and then applying the BI in accounting, treasury and finance operations.
  • Managing business metrics: Assisting CFO on tracking business metrics including but not limited to cash, financial, operational and other business performance metrics.
  • Preparing financial documents: Preparing and reviewing financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and footnotes.
  • Preparing SEC filings: Preparing and reviewing SEC filings, such as 6-Ks, 20-Fs and F-3s; Coordinating the review of SEC filings with external auditors, legal counsel, accounting staff, and executive management; Managing internal and external reviews for SEC filings.
  • Documenting policies: Assisting with documentation of company accounting and financial reporting policies.
  • Participating in presentations: Participating in the preparation of board presentations, investor presentations, and the earnings release.
  • Ensuring compliance: Ensuring compliance with SEC, Nasdaq and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements.
  • Analyzing data: Analyzing and reviewing data submitted by divisions or business units for financial reporting.
  • Advising initiatives: Monitoring, analyzing, and documenting the impact of SEC, IASB and FASB accounting and reporting initiatives.
  • Staying updated on regulatory requirements This includes staying updated on changes in regulatory requirements and industry standards related to IFRS, Nasdaq and SEC compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and CPA designation is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of public accounting (Big 4 experience preferred)
  • Must possess a solid technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) or US GAAP.
