In this role, you will join Infineon's advanced high-voltage industrial and consumer discrete power semiconductor team, where you will deepen your expertise in the technologies shaping the Future of Power. You will focus on technical Go-to-Market (G2M) activities for wide-bandgap devices, particularly Silicon Carbide (SiC) MOSFETs and SiCJFETs, as well as state-of-the-art Silicon Super junction MOSFETs. Working closely with customers and internal teams, you will deliver expert product-level design-in support and 3rd-level technical assistance for high-efficiency, high-power-density solutions across a wide range of Industrial and Consumer applications. This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to next-generation power systems that address the energy efficiency and power density needs across Industrial, Consumer and AI-driven applications.
Your Role
Key responsibilities in your new role
- ,,Lead product innovation by developing high-quality application notes, designing technical marketing materials and supporting global roadshows during New Product Introductions (NPIs).
- ,,Act as a trusted technical partner to customers, providing expert guidance throughout the qualification process, enabling successful design-ins, troubleshooting complex technical issues, identifying root causes from a product perspective, and proposing effective countermeasures.
- ,,Design, build and deliver innovative customer evaluation demo boards and kits, including full hardware setup systems. Conduct in-depth testing, competitive benchmarking, internal verification and customer validation of prototypes.
- ,,Actively contribute to Go-to-Market (G2M) initiatives by delivering technical product trainings to global internal teams (e.g., Field Application Engineers) and external partners, while representing the company at conferences and workshops to promote the right-fit product solutions.
Your Profile
Qualifications And Skills To Help You Succeed
- ,,University degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Electronics preferred.
- ,,5+ years of relevant experience as an Application Engineer or Field Application Engineer in the semiconductor industry, ideally withexposure to AI server power supply applications.
- ,,In-depth knowledge of Silicon (Si) and Silicon Carbide (SiC) power technologies, discrete packages
- ,,Strong familiarity with power electronics solutions used in Industrial and Consumer applications such as PV, EV Chargers, UPS, ESS,AI Data Center power, SSCB, major home appliances, chargers/adapters, and lighting with particular expertise in power conversion topologies and device selection.
- ,,Hands-on mentality with the ability and willingness to assess semiconductor product behavior and performance through simulations, lab experiments, development of test boards and systems, characterization, double pulse tests, and real-world application-level testing.
- ,,Customer-centric mindset with a genuine passion for working directly with clients, including regular international travel. Proven ability to understand customer needs, provide expert technical guidance, and resolve complex application challenges.
- ,,Excellent communication skills in both English and Mandarin. Intimate knowledge of local business culture is required, fluency in Japanese or Korean is a strong plus.
