Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Propose and present new platform concepts or next-generation server system designs with consideration for manufacturability and feasibility.
- Coordinate internal resources and collaborate with cross-functional design teams (e.g., hardware, software, mechanical, thermal, power supply) to meet design objectives.
- Review and drive improvements in product quality across the entire lifecyclefrom design and prototyping to mass production, including sample validation and failure analysis.
- Resolve misunderstandings, technical issues, and conflicts related to both design and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct research and provide input on new design technologies, validate proof-of-concept ideas, and drive continuous improvement in existing designs.
- Collaborate closely with internal and/or ODM engineering teams (e.g., H/W, S/W, ME, Thermal, PWS) to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, System Engineering or computer design related discipline (master's degree preferred).
- 8+ years of experience in server system design, 10+ years of experience in computer/server related industry
- Strong knowledge of sub-component design and validation, including PCBA hardware, firmware, BIOS, mechanical, thermal, and power subsystems.
- Familiar with manufacturing processes and cost structures, including PCB materials, PCBA assembly, chassis hard tooling, injection molding, and metal fabrication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to clearly and effectively convey complex technical concepts.
- Proven ability to exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve results.
- Self-driven and capable of independently determining methods and procedures with minimal supervision.
