About the Role
We are seeking a Specialist / Manager (new role) to lead sourcing strategies and supplier management for our in Chamber sourcing Platform processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring a resilient, optimized supply chain that supports the success of our in Chamber sourcing.
In this role, you will:
1. Develop and execute sourcing plans specific to Chamber sourcing.
2. Manage supplier selection, qualification, contracting, and integration.
3. Build strong supplier partnerships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost efficiency.
4. Streamline and consolidate the supply base while applying best practices.
5. Drive productivity improvements that directly support business goals.
6. Mentor and guide team members to strengthen supply chain expertise.
Your Key Responsibilities
1. Understand end to end process of application, material, builds and customer base in order to create opportunity for growing margin on product platform.
2. Work with cross functional team members to support New Product Development and legacy business.
3. Pipeline support of value engineering changes for cost/efficiency savings.
4. Create opportunity through make vs buy reviews.
5. Identify alternative global suppliers to achieve best landed cost.
6. Align multiple sight builds with potential dual source and regional support.
7. Negotiate supply terms to ensure best value for Watlow obtained.
8. Continuous improvement for aligning best value material offering with quality, lead time and price to ensure maximum sales.
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field (Master's preferred).
2. 8+ years of sourcing or supply chain management experience in an industrial manufacturing environment; OEM supplier experience strongly preferred.
3. Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier qualification, and contract negotiations.
4. Strong understanding of Chamber sourcing processes.
Desired Qualifications
1. Experience managing global suppliers and implementing supply base consolidation strategies.
2. Knowledge of quality systems, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements relevant to OEM manufacturing.
3. Strong analytical and financial skills to evaluate supplier performance, cost drivers, and total cost of ownership.
4. Excellent leadership skills with experience mentoring and developing teams.
5. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams.
6. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Additional information regarding to this position:
1. Must be willing to work at Zhubei Hsinchu, Taiwan.
2. Individual contributor with managerial experiences.
3. This role requires 25–50% global travel.
