Job Description
- Drive new product development and innovation for consumer products.
- Explore and prototype mechanical and electromechanical solutions to enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with industrial designers and cross-functional teams to develop products from concept through mass production.
- Optimise designs for performance, quality, and cost using tools such as dFMEA, QFD, and FEA simulation.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, reliability testing, and functional lab testing.
- Interact with vendors and internal teams to develop manufacturing processes and tooling.
- Support UX research and contribute to technology programmes for gaming product evolution.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for high-volume consumer electronics.
- Expertise in plastics injection moulding, tooling, assembly processes, and cosmetic finishes.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD (Pro/Engineer or similar) and advanced surfacing; ANSYS simulation knowledge preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, risk management, and design thinking mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in multicultural teams; fluent in English (Mandarin is a plus).
- Experience with electro-mechanical prototyping and stakeholder management.
