Job Summary

As a global leader in networking solution innovation, Super Micro Computer's mission is to develop and provide the market with end-to end computing solution and high performance networking products. We have an immediate need for a Hardware Design Engineer to join our talented and bright design team. The candidate will play a key role in the development process of in-house server motherboards, by working collaboratively with cross-functional engineering team as well as outside partners to ensure the robust design of the boards. The candidate must be self-motivated and possess a strong will to do great things, with a result-driven mindset to develop the most competitive and endurance board products.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • In-depth knowledge of PCB layout, OrCAD/Allegro tools, circuit design, and PCB structure.
  • Prepare technical documentation including product specifications, layout instructions, test procedures, etc.
  • Transfer products to manufacturing with clear documentation and help C.M. and technical support to solve problems.
  • Hardware engineer need co-working with PM, BIOS, IPMI, EMI, Thermal, ME RD friendly. Need have good team work. Need to have the concept of project ownership.
  • Need have power VR and component design knowledge
  • Resolve complicated issues and drive to root cause on critical engineering problems

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of PCB layout, OrCAD/Allegro tools, circuit design, and PCB structure.
  • Familiar with digital scope and high-speed bus measurement.
  • A Master's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience working with x86 server and workstation boards is preferred.
  • Knowledge of high-speed circuit design and voltage regular circuit design.
  • Self-motivated team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
