Essential Duties And Responsibilities
As a hardware design engineer who is responsible for completing assigned projects from development through to end of life, including creating schematics, check layout,
component survey, specifications and datasheet study, motherboard and system bring up, bug fix, customer issues analyze, even support colleague's projects.
- Designing high speed PCB circuit of x86 server.
- Designing high speed PCB circuit of Broadcom ASIC for high-bandwidth network switching products.
- Performing all the circuit design by using OrCAD tool.
- Knowing the layout tool Allegro and can handle the tool.
- Need to validate the server / switch.
- Need to debug the circuit with digital scope.
- Need to co-work with validation/ BIOS/ firmware/ software team to solve the issues
- Co-work with validation engineers to solve the issues
- Ensure product conforms to engineering specifications, and regulatory and customer performance expectations.
- Transfer products to manufacturing with clear documentation and help C.M. and technical support to solve problems.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- BSEE or MSEE; at least 3+ years working experience on x86 PC / server / switch hardware design, debugging, troubleshooting, and testing.
- Strong communication, written, oral, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated team player with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experienced in Linux OS shell and testing environment is a plus.
- Mandarin speaking is a plus due to global R/D sites.
- Language Skills: Chinese in Common, English in Common
Nice to Have
- Experience in designing Broadcom Tomahawk 4/5/6 Ethernet Switch products.
- Familiar with Broadcom networking chip hardware design.
- Knowledge of 400G/800G/1.6T switch products.
