Molex Taiwan is seeking a Shipping Specialist to support import/export operations, customs compliance, and international trade activities. In this role, you will coordinate customs clearance, manage shipping documentation, work closely with logistics service providers, and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure the compliant and efficient movement of goods while supporting business continuity and customer commitments.
Our Team
This position belongs to the Molex Taiwan Logistics Team and plays a critical role in supporting import/export operations and customs compliance activities.
Key interfaces include Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, Logistics, Freight Forwarders, Customs Brokers, Warehouse Service Providers, and Government Customs Authorities.
What You Will Do
- Execute daily import and export operations while ensuring customs compliance and on-time shipment delivery.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping and customs documentation.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, and warehouse providers to ensure efficient logistics execution.
- Monitor shipment progress and resolve customs or transportation issues proactively.
- Support customs compliance activities, including audits, documentation retention, and trade regulations.
- Manage customs-related exceptions and drive corrective actions with internal and external partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, and Logistics teams.
- Contribute to logistics process improvements and initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and service performance.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in import/export operations, customs brokerage, logistics management, or trade compliance
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan import/export regulations and customs clearance procedures
- Experience working with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transportation providers, and warehouse service providers
- Intermediate English communication skills with the ability to handle daily business correspondence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
What Will Put You Ahead
- Knowledge of customs classification (HS Code), customs valuation, Certificate of Origin (COO), and trade compliance requirements
- Familiarity with import/export process optimization and logistics continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify compliance risks and implement corrective actions
