About the client:
With production facilities spread across several nations, our client is a reputable motor manufacturing and product assembly company with its headquarters located in Hong Kong. To support their worldwide sourcing strategy, they are currently seeking a Sourcing Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and implement a global sourcing strategy that takes into account geopolitical issues and company goals.
- To build a strong and varied supplier network, find and assess possible suppliers outside of China.
- To guarantee competitive procurement while upholding quality standards, negotiate contracts and pricing agreements.
- Work together with cross-functional teams from engineering, production, and quality control to support the needs of production and product development.
- To promote continual improvement, keep an eye on supplier performance, market trends, and adherence to industry rules.
- Regularly evaluate the risks associated with sourcing tactics and offer substitutes to lessen possible disruptions.
- Establish and preserve a solid rapport with suppliers while making sure that ethical sourcing procedures are followed.
Candidate Profile:
- A bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, or a similar discipline
- 7+ years or more of expertise in the automotive industry's sourcing and procurement
- A solid grasp of the geopolitical aspects influencing supply chains and a track record of success in international sourcing
- Outstanding communication and negotiating abilities
- Knowledge of risk assessment and supplier performance management
- It is ideal to have prior experience obtaining automotive motor components.
