General Summary

A Senior Sourcing & Supplier Intelligence Manager at Qualcomm will actively manage a portfolio of semiconductor package manufacturing focused vendors, at the same time develop and execute on supplier strategies to support the evolving customer requirements, geo-politics , tariff environment etc. This role serves in the dual purpose as strategic intelligence partner to Procurement leadership and Operations by translating supplier, spend, and market data into clear, actionable insights. This individual will be responsible for building and delivering a fact-based, insight-driven view of Qualcomm's supplier ecosystem to enable smarter sourcing decisions, risk mitigation, cost optimization, and supply continuity.

The role supports Procurement's broader transformation agenda by establishing repeatable supplier intelligence frameworks, improving visibility into supplier performance and risk, and enabling data-driven decision-making across spend categories.

Key Responsibilities

Sourcing

  • Develop suppliers to enable long term viable and competitive repeat buy business providing the continuity of supply with lowest total cost of ownership.
  • Collaborate across the various organizations of supply chain, engineering, product management, etc to ensure business objectives are met.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms and monitor performance for compliance.
  • Manage the day-2-day sourcing tasks and executive level meetings ( eg., QBR) to ensure supplier fully comprehends their responsibility and is supporting with Qualcomm no. 1 priority.

Supplier & Market Intelligence

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive view of Qualcomm's global supplier landscape in the categories of OSATs, and commodities such as substrates, PCB's and components including supplier segmentation, criticality, concentration, and dependency analysis.
  • Monitor supplier-related market dynamics such as capacity constraints, geographic risk, financial health, regulatory exposure, and technology or capability shifts that may impact supply continuity.
  • Produce supplier intelligence briefs and act as consultative advisor that inform sourcing strategy, supplier selection, and investment decisions.
  • Partner with Category Managers and Procurement Operations to identify, assess, and track supplier risk indicators, including operational, financial, geopolitical, and compliance-related risks.
  • Support executive-level reviews with concise, data-backed insights on supplier exposure, savings opportunities, and risk posture.

Capability Building & Transformation

  • Help define and operationalize Supplier Intelligence as a core Procurement capability, including common methodologies, templates, and best practices.
  • Contribute to Procurement transformation initiatives by enabling better data quality, insight consistency, and decision transparency.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure intelligence outputs meet Qualcomm's standards for rigor and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in procurement, supplier management, supply chain analytics, market intelligence, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex supplier and spend data into actionable insights.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and support strategic decisions in a matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting large-scale, global procurement organizations.
  • Familiarity with ERP, procurement, and supplier data environments (e.g., PO, AP, supplier master, contract data).
  • Experience with supplier risk management, category strategy, or procurement transformation initiatives.
  • MBA or advanced degree a plus.

  • Sourcing leader who is able to retain top-tier support of the suppliers under purview to enable achievement and/or exceed the business objectives of Qualcomm
  • Procurement leaders proactively rely on Supplier Intelligence to inform sourcing, risk, and investment decisions.
  • Supplier risks and opportunities are identified earlier, with clearer mitigation and action paths.
  • Spend and supplier insights directly support measurable cost savings, risk reduction, and operational efficiency.
  • Supplier Intelligence becomes a trusted, repeatable capability embedded within Procurement's way of working.

Minimum Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.

OR

Associate's degree and 10+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.

OR

High School Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Sourcing or related work experience.

  • Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
