The RoleAs the
Onshore Substation Site Civil Inspector, you will oversee the inspection and verification of civil construction works associated with the onshore substation. The position plays a key role in maintaining construction quality, verifying compliance with project documentation, and supporting site supervision activities throughout the execution phase.
What You Will Do
- Inspect and monitor onshore substation civil works (foundations, structures, buildings, drainage, cable trenches) to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, and Employer Requirements.
- Witness and record inspections and tests at defined hold/witness points, ensuring works meet acceptance criteria.
- Validate material compliance, workmanship quality, dimensional control, and traceability.
- Raise Non-Conformities (NCRs), track corrective actions, and verify close-out.
- Review civil quality records and support as-built documentation and handover.
- Coordinate with Contractor, Subcontractors, and Employer site teams to ensure quality and schedule adherence, in line with the Project QMS and ITPs.
- Support site supervision activities.
What Are We Looking For
- Relevant degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or similar, paired with a general interest in developing renewable energy projects.
- Minimum 5 years of proven work experience in civil inspection for substations, power plants, or large infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil works standards, concrete works, earthworks, structural works, and drainage systems.
- Expertise in ITPs, NCR management, quality records, and site inspections under ISO 9001-based QMS.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong reporting, coordination and communication skills.
