Responsibilities
. Providing market strategy consistent with SMFL vision, values and business philosophy to maximize number of opportunities not only achieving budgeted volume/profit target.
. Contribute to the origination and structuring of leasing and asset‑backed transactions, leveraging extensive market experience, structuring expertise, and legal knowledge.
. Oversee transaction structuring to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, tax, and internal governance requirements.
. Oversee credit assessment, underwriting, and risk management processes, applying strong credit judgment and structuring discipline to balance business growth and risk mitigation.
. Design and implement business development and marketing strategies to expand financing activities, including leasing, asset‑based lending, and structured finance, in coordination with strategic partners, shareholders, SMFL headquarters, and regional offices.
. Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporations, multinational clients, financial institutions, manufacturers, and other key counterparties.
. Work closely with General Manager and HQ directors to set strategic direction for SMFL Singapore, providing market insight, portfolio updates, and strategic recommendations.
. Collaborate effectively with SMFL headquarters in Japan and regional Asia‑Pacific offices, ensuring alignment with group policies, approval processes, and strategic initiatives.
. Handle other duties and responsibilities as assigned by General Manager and HQ directors.
