Job Description

1. Lead the validation of Qualcomm AI-powered PCs through rigorous AI benchmark testing, ensuring alignment with quality criteria for AI-driven performance across various computing environments.

2. Design and implement comprehensive test plans for CPU/GPU/NPU performance benchmarks, focusing on AI-specific workloads and real-world usage scenarios.

3. Validate and assess Microsoft AI features, such as Windows AI capabilities and Copilot, ensuring high performance and integration with Qualcomm AI hardware.

4. Perform detailed third-party ISV AI application testing, benchmarking the performance and ensuring that AI applications meet predefined quality standards on Qualcomm AI platforms.

5. Develop and execute AI projection models and real-world user-case scenarios to simulate workloads, measuring performance against key quality metrics and benchmarks.

6. Identify and diagnose performance bottlenecks, working closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure high-performance optimization.

7. Collaborate with internal and external teams (Qualcomm, Microsoft, ISVs) to ensure AI features and applications are optimized for performance and meet the defined quality benchmarks.

8. Provide strategic insights and recommendations for improving performance, focusing on areas such as benchmark consistency, scalability, and overall system stability.

9. Lead and mentor junior engineers in benchmark measurement techniques, performance testing, and root cause analysis for improving platform performance and meeting quality standards.

10. Document and communicate test results, ensuring comprehensive technical reporting and clear recommendations for performance tuning and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of experience in performance validation, benchmarking, or AI system validation, with a focus on meeting strict quality criteria.
• Strong expertise in AI benchmarking tools and techniques, including experience with CPU/GPU/NPU performance testing.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft AI features, including Windows AI, Copilot, and their impact on system performance.
• Experience validating and benchmarking third-party ISV AI applications, ensuring compatibility, stability, and performance within a Qualcomm AI-powered environment.
• Proficient in benchmark measurement methodologies, performance optimization, and scalability testing for AI systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root-cause analysis and identifying system bottlenecks that affect performance.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure quality metrics are met across hardware, firmware, and software.
• Ability to document test results clearly and provide actionable recommendations for performance tuning.
• Experience with performance automation tools and testing frameworks is a plus.
