Elevate Semiconductor is seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Engineering Manager to lead and support our customer-facing technical operations in Taiwan. This role combines deep applications and quality engineering expertise with strong leadership to drive product performance, customer success, and technical excellence. The ideal candidate thrives on solving complex engineering problems, guiding teams, and collaborating closely with both customers and global cross-functional groups.

Fluency in English and Mandarin is required, and international travel will be required to support customers and corporate initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary technical interface for customers, providing in-depth support on IC products, test performance, and system integration.
  • Debug and analyze device and test system issues, working hands-on with ATE hardware and software to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Own the technical resolution of customer returns and performance issues by coordinating cross-functional resources in design, test, and quality engineering.
  • Collaborate directly with design and test engineering teams to ensure robust new product introduction (NPI) processes that meet customer performance, reliability, and schedule targets.
  • Develop and maintain test and characterization plans, perform data analysis, and drive continuous product and process improvement.
  • Monitor key customer KPIs, analyze failure trends, and initiate and track corrective action programs to ensure long-term satisfaction.
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to local engineersoffering guidance on debugging, test methodologies, and customer communication best practices.
  • Represent Elevate Semiconductor in customer audits, technical reviews, and product qualification discussions, ensuring alignment between technical requirements and company capabilities.
  • Collaborate with global engineering, operations, and sales to align on product quality, reliability, and application support strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Physical Sciences, or related discipline required.
  • 7+ years of experience in IC product, device, or test engineering (5+ years with Master's or 3+ years with Ph.D.).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in the ATE (Automated Test Equipment) industry preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mixed-signal or analog IC testing, device characterization, and failure analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discussions, influence decisions, and motivate teams while remaining deeply involved in day-to-day engineering problem-solving.
  • Skilled in data analysis, test automation, and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Demonstrated success in customer-facing technical leadership roles.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
