Job Summary
The Senior System Analyst is a handson technical lead for AML, Risk & Compliance Applications. The role owns analysis, design, build quality, testing and controlled releases for Screening, Customer Risk Rating and Transaction Monitoring/Case Management. The role translates business/compliance requirements into secure, supportable solutions with complete SDLC documentation and evidence to meet AMLO/HKIA GL3/AMCM/BMA expectations, while mentoring engineers and coordinating vendor delivery.
The Job
Lead requirements elaboration and produce/maintain complete, traceable SDLC artifacts (URFDSTDS) and Technical Impact Analysis (TIA) prepare deployment plans and operational runbooks
Design and implement changes (configuration/rules/code) to screening, customer risk rating and transaction monitoring/case workflows uphold coding and configuration standards
Plan and execute unit, integration, SIT and UAT maintain regression suites for rule/threshold updates compile test evidence and manage signoffs
Raise change records with risk assessment obtain CAB/eCAB approvals execute deployments with backout plans complete PIRs and retain evidence for audit
Monitor production jobs/alerts triage incidents perform RCA and permanent fixes drive data quality improvements for AMLcritical fields
Collaborate with Compliance, Operational Risk and IT Security to embed policy changes and healthcheck actions into requirements, testing and approvals
Mentor engineers and coordinate vendor sprints/deliverables to internal standards and controls
The Person
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related discipline
6-8+ years in enterprise application development within a financial institution, with experience leading small teams and/or vendors
Strong SDLC delivery and documentation skills (UR/FDS/TDS/TIA), test management and DevOps practices proficiency with APIs/integration and SQL
Familiarity with AMLO/HKIA GL3/AMCM/BMA requirements and how they influence system behavior, approvals and evidence
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Business acumen to translate complex technical strategies into tangible business value
Collaborative mindset with experience managing internal teams and external service providers
Experience with AML/FCRM platforms such as Fiserv FCRM, rule tuning and performance troubleshooting
Practical knowledge of change/release tooling and audit evidence management
