Your Team, Your Impact
As a Principal Product Engineer at Marvell's Hsinchu office, you will play a crucial role in developing and sustaining our optical product lines with vendors and contract manufacturers in Asia. This position offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in and drive the success of Marvell's cutting-edge optical products, including Silicon Photonic Light Engines, pluggable modules, and co-packaged optics. Ideal candidates will possess extensive experience in high-volume manufacturing of opto-electrical devices, preferably optical transceivers, and have multidisciplinary knowledge encompassing optics, mechanical, electrical, and firmware engineering.
What You Can Expect
- Collaborate with the US team to receive and learn about NPI products, and work with both internal and CM teams to transition them to volume production.
- Sustain and continually improve production yield.
- Proactively manage production line risks in collaboration with PTE, SQE and planning groups.
- Work closely with the US module PE team to collaboratively own the products across product lifecycle.
- Implement automatic in-process controls and monitor production line yield on a regular basis.
- Production line failure analysis (FA) and failure disposition at chip/Sipho level and Optical sub-assembly level.
What We're Looking For
- Master's degree in Photonics, Opto-Electronics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of industry experience in product and test engineering for volume production, with a focus on Silicon photonics, optical transceiver modules, subassemblies, other related opto-electronic devices.
- Prior NPI/manufacturing experience in silicon photonics, optical transceivers or other optoelectronic devices is a significant plus.
- Strong experience in silicon photonics design and device physics and process development and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with silicon photonics foundry, assembly and packaging process.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
