Senior Solution Architect

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Key Responsibilities

• As Solution Architect role, deliver architecture design for large scale programmes / projects. Contribute to market research, options evaluation and selection, and execute design authority during implementation

• As Business Domain Architect role, communicate with domain stakeholders to determine business requirements and develop architecture and designs that meet those requirements.

• Review, analyze, and evaluate ideas, threats, and opportunities to develop new products, modern technologies, and business models for the business domain.

• Collaborate across business domains to both find opportunities for and showcase ideas in the innovation and emerging business pipeline.

• Collaborate with business senior stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) in the process of Portfolio / Demand management, Annual Budget Management, and co-create the project initiations

• Rationalize and conduct TIME (Tolerate, Invest, Migrate, and Eliminate) assessment for the current systems

• As a team leader, mentor IT managers or SMEs to play as delegated solution architects with architecture accountabilities in delivery teams. Ensure resource planning and work assignment to meet IT project demands and business/technology strategy needs

Requirements

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines

• TOGAF certification is preferred

• Minimum 8 years of IT experience with at least 2 years architecture experience on business architecture or business process modeling

• Minimum 2 years of experience in managing a team of architect resources

• Proficient knowledge and working experience in at least one of the domains: customer experience, corporate / back-office service, or aviation business

• Extensive experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams with business areas, application architect, and developer representation, with the ability to influence and enable change, and persuade others to move toward consensus

• Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environment

• Experience in Agile Architecture / DevOps is an advantage

• Being a motivated, self-driven individual and an experienced consultant with IT solution design background

• Understanding of aviation business and processes is an advantage

• Excellent command of English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
