Sr. Software Test Engineer

[Sr. Embedded SW Tester/Test Lead | Smart Voice Assistant product]

Responsibilities

• Complete Test task assignment (50%); How well do smart speakers understand voice commands in English
• Consolidate test results and submit test reports.
• Identify/submit defects and follow up
• Regular meetings with stakeholders
• Test Environment Setup:

Establishing a realistic test environment is key to replicating the experiences of end-users. This includes setting up hardware prototypes, simulating network conditions, and integrating IoT devices. A controlled environment minimizes unpredictable variations and facilitates a smoother testing process.

• Execution & Reporting:

Test execution involves running the designed test cases, capturing results, and documenting any discrepancies.

Qualifications

• B.S./Msc in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, relevant technical field or equivalent practical exp.
• 5 years of proven work exp. in Firmware (FW)/ Software (SW) Testing
• Proficiency in Linux/Unixtest environment.
• Exp. with Embedded devices w/ Smart Voice Assistant
• Ability to work w/ the team and stakeholders
• Good communication skills
• Proficiency in English Speaking & Listening. TOEIC: >600

To speak Voice commends to a Smart Speaker in English, and Understand its responses in English.

• Python programming skill is a plus

Others:

• Bilingual capability is required (Mandarin & English).

Mandarin speaking/reading is essential skill in HCLTech Taiwan.

• Must demonstrate initiative & ownership of assigned responsibilities
• Ability to work collaboratively & openly w/ cross-functional Team Leaders, members & client
• Soft Skills: Good listener, sense of humor, open minded, respect, patience, resolving issues, etc.

• Taiwan APRC is required w/ expat.
