Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SoC Integration Engineer with strong expertise in CPU integration, Design-for-Test (DFT), and large-scale SoC architecture. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of industry experience in semiconductor design and integration, with a solid academic background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science. This role will drive complex SoC integration activities across multiple IP teams and ensure first silicon success
Key Responsibilities
SoC Integration
- Lead top-level SoC integration including CPU subsystem, interconnect, peripheral IPs, clock/power/reset structures, and test structures.
- Own SoC RTL integration, lint/CDC/RC checking, synthesis constraints, and timing closure support.
- Define and maintain SoC-level interfaces, connectivity, and integration specifications.
- Collaborate with architecture and design teams to ensure seamless IP integration and system-level consistency.
CPU Subsystem Expertise
- Integrate and validate CPU cores or CPU clusters (ARM, ARC, RISCV, or proprietary designs).
- Analyze and resolve issues related to memory hierarchy, coherency, interrupt architectures, and debug infrastructure.
- Optimize performance, power, and area (PPA) at the CPU and SoC boundaries.
DFT (Design-for-Test)
- Collaborate with DFT teams to integrate scan, MBIST, LBIST, boundary scan, and other test structures at the SoC level.
- Ensure testability requirements and coverage goals are met for production.
- Bring up test modes, vectors, and patterns during pre-silicon validation.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with physical design, verification, firmware, and validation teams throughout the full chip development cycle.
- Support pre-silicon simulation, emulation, and post-silicon bring-up.
- Drive root-cause analysis and issue resolution during integration and silicon debug.
Technical Leadership
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on integration best practices.
- Establish and continuously improve SoC integration flows, methodologies, and automation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (Ph.D. is a plus).
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor SoC integration, CPU subsystem integration, or related design fields.
- Strong expertise with:
- CPU IP integration (ARM, ARC, RISCV, or equivalent)
- DFT integration (scan, MBIST, LBIST)
- RTL design and top-level SoC assembly
- Lint, CDC, RDC methodologies
- Solid understanding of system architecture, SoC bus protocols (AMBA/AXI/AHB/APB), power management, and clock/reset architectures.
- Familiarity with simulation, emulation, and silicon debugging tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to drive complex technical issues
