Job Description

The Department of Geography and Resource Management is recruiting Senior Research Assistant(s) (External Fund) / Research Assistant(s) (External Fund).

Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor's degree plus at least four years of post-qualification relevant research experience in Geography, Ecology, Biology, Life Sciences, Environment, and related disciplines (ii) a good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese and (iii) solid knowledge of ecological or environmental research, data collection, and data analysis. Experience in project administration and management is preferred. Those without relevant work experience will be considered for appointment as Research Assistant (External Fund).

The appointee(s) will serve as the Project Manager. Duties include (a) coordinating project activities and management (b) conducting data collection and analysis and (c) performing other research and project support duties as assigned.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for nine months commencing January 2026, renewable subject to good performance and funding availability.
