We're looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking professional to join our team as a Senior Manager in Underwriting. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in transforming our underwriting operations through digital innovation and strategic project execution.
Position Responsibilities:
Underwriting Excellence: Assess and underwrite applications in line with company guidelines, operational standards, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate decisions to distribution partners within agreed turnaround times, negotiate with reinsurers, and resolve appeals and inquiries effectively.
Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the underwriting SME in cross-functional projects, including new p roduct launches and compliance initiatives.
Digital Transformation: Support and drive underwriting automation and process improvements, leveraging Generative AI and other emerging technologies.
Collaboration & Innovation: Partner with digital teams and stakeholders to identify opportunities for process enhancement and deliver impactful system solutions.
Continuous Improvement: Champion operational efficiency by streamlining workflows and introducing best practices across underwriting and new business functions.
Training & Enablement: Deliver high-quality training to ensure smooth adoption of new tools and processes by business users.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of underwriting experience, particularly in complex and medical cases.
Proven track record in digital operations and project management.
Strong knowledge of individual insurance products, underwriting practices, and new business operations.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Interest in AI technologies and digital innovation is a strong advantage.
Self-driven, proactive, and able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills in a fast-paced setting.
