Description & Requirements
As part of the Merchandise Product organization, the Planning team plays a critical role in driving the financial success of the company. They collaborate closely with Merchandising and Finance, to align on product trends, regional and climate-specific selling patterns, size dynamics, merchandise forecasting, and the overall planning framework.
The team actively monitors business performance across daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycles-identifying shifts in trends and responding swiftly to maximize sales opportunities while mitigating risks. Their goal is to deliver profitable sales growth, gross margin dollars and manage inventory productivity.
- Ensure consistent execution of category trade performance in all markets
- Optimise performance and all financial targets are being met across the region
- Develop and execute future looking strategies to drive the business
- Lead with entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results
- Partner and communicate with various cross functional teams to collectively drive for results
- Guide the Planning team through strategic workflow plans to execute on deliverables
- Develop high performing planning team including formal and informal training & coaching, leadership
- College certificate or University degree is preferred
- 6-8 years planning experience in the apparel industry
- Previous experience with merchandise and planning systems.
- Expert knowledge of Excel is required.
- Excellent team player as well as the ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills (written & verbal)
- Extremely organized thorough and able to prioritize
- Detail orientated
