Job Description

The Senior Manager, Asia Regional Performance & Analysis is responsible for the provision of performance analysis services to clients, the investment management teams and regional offices across Asia, requiring expert-level knowledge of fixed income portfolio performance measurement and attribution.

The incumbent will hold responsibility for monitoring, reporting, analyzing, and advising on the performance of investment portfolios, with a primary focus on fixed income portfolios.

Position Responsibilities:

Client and Stakeholder

  • Provide effective, accurate and timely performance reporting and analysis to clients, engaging directly where required to provide depth of support and demonstrate capability.
  • Actively service and support stakeholders including portfolio managers, client service, sales, product, marketing and senior management in all aspects of performance information, reporting and analysis.
  • Maintain collaborative working relationships with all stakeholders.

Business and Technical

  • Deliver valuable performance services and support including the review of portfolio performance against benchmarks and competitors, performance attribution and drivers, portfolio positioning and ex-post risk.
  • Continuously improve business processes, controls, and systems to ensure efficient and effective management of delivery and risk.
  • Remain familiar with relevant securities industry developments specifically those impacting the functions of the department and/or its stakeholders both clients and service providers.

People and Team

  • Assist in the development of an outstanding investment performance and analysis team and capability.
  • Actively support and contribute to a culture of team spirit, open communication, pro-action, co-operation, collaboration, and continuous self-development.
  • Assist in driving an active engagement model across the team as the foundation for collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Lead projects, assign work and ensure that project deliverables are completed according to project timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Statistics or Mathematics preferred.
  • 8+ years financial services / asset management experience & 5+ years relevant investment performance experience
  • Strong technical understanding of investment performance measurement and attribution techniques, methodologies, and practices, with specialization in fixed income portfolios and instruments. Brings practical experience leveraging investment performance systems, tools, and technology to support analysis and reporting.
  • Proven handson expertise with Bloomberg PORT and/ or BlackRock Aladdin (or equivalent enterprise performance platforms)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple demands
  • Proven experience influencing and working collaboratively with stakeholders, clients, and vendors
  • Proven track record within a robust operational and in-depth analytical process
  • Ability and willingness to learn and support new instruments and strategies quickly
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think laterally and provide constructive feedback
  • Thorough attention to detail and accuracy of delivery
