About the Role

Responsible for planning and executing acquisitions / divestitures and strategic business alliances for assigned Corporate Transactions

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Transaction Management team lead to work in partnership with business units, group functions and potential business partners to identify and assess acquisition opportunities, develop transaction rationales, formulate bid strategy and support execution thereof that will allow AIA to pursue strategically important inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Support development of internal business case to update and seek approval/guidance from the Strategic initiative Committee (SIC) and Board regarding potential transactions
  • Support the facilitation of discussion amongst multi-functional deal teams for live transactions
  • Support development on all transaction deliverables including corporate communications and announcement, offer letters, proposal, workshop materials, management meeting questions, due diligence assessment and legal documentation
  • Support the development of proposals and management presentation materials with relevant AIA internal functions
  • Support the preparation and / or review of transaction documents, including due diligence assessments, Q&A process, business plans, financial assessment and bid tactics

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • University graduate with an excellent academic record
  • 8+ years in house strategy or banking in leading deals and projects and driving partnerships and business models
  • Proven exposure and knowledge of private transactions and partnership arrangements in the sector
  • Multi-market & LBU exposure desirable
  • Strong business and commercial acumen
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Independent and proactive mentality
  • Strong work ethic with a positive outlook
  • Effective presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English
