Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Managing underwriting tasks and effectively addressing inquiries and appeals from sales channels and other departments skillfully and independently

  • Managing and mentoring a team of underwriters, fostering a high-performance culture

  • Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across underwriting and cross-functional teams.

  • Work collaboratively with internal departments/external parties for different projects, operational change, system change, product development as required.

  • Perform timely updates of the underwriting manual and forms.

  • Ensure underwriting standards and practices comply with audit guidelines and regulatory requirements.

  • Deal with external parties such as medical service providers to ensure their service meet our standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of solid underwriting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the Group Life and Health Insurance.

  • Familiarity with Group Life and Health Insurance business operation environments is advantage.

  • Able to work independently, and have strong ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a multi-tasking environment.

  • High attention to detail, excellent analytical and decision-making skills, and strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Ability to work under stress and tight schedules.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a positive attitude, high level of engagement, and strong collaborative skills.

  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing.
