The Senior Manager, Bermuda Finance Operations will play a critical role supporting the Chief Financial Operating Officer in the setup and operationalization of the Bermuda Finance Operations function for Prudential's new Bermuda entity. This role coordinates the Bermuda Finance Operations team to deliver key elements of the finance operating model in close partnership with external service providers. Responsibilities include the implementation and ongoing management of robust financial systems, processes, internal controls, treasury operations, financial reporting frameworks, and outsourced back-office support. The role holder will collaborate closely with internal teams, external advisors, and stakeholders to execute project plans efficiently, maintain strong governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and enable the successful launch and growth of both the reinsurance and direct insurance licenses.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the setup of Bermuda Finance Operations processes and systems by collaborating with internal teams and external advisors to execute detailed project plans. This includes implementation of financial accounting systems, chart of accounts, internal controls, financial close processes, and treasury/cash management.

  • Facilitate the establishment and ongoing delivery of Finance Operations and Treasury Operations activities. For Finance Operations, coordinate accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. For Treasury Operations, manage cash positions, execute payments, and maintain compliance with internal governance standards.

  • Coordinate finance system implementations with vendors (e.g., Strategic Coupa, Oracle) and support optimisation of configurations. Work closely with vendors and internal teams to mitigate risks during phase-out and phase-in transitions while building team knowledge for future-state operations.

  • Support the establishment, ongoing maintenance, and continuous improvement of Finance Operations governance frameworks, including controls, reconciliations, and compliance processes, while fostering collaboration with internal and external parties.


Candidate Specifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in Finance and project management, preferably in insurance / banking, with demonstrated success in coordinating system implementation initiatives.

  • Strong expertise in cross-functional collaboration, including managing internal teams (e.g., Group and LBUs) and external partners (e.g., auditors, consultants).

  • Proven track record in working on large-scale projects.

  • Exceptional Finance Operations, project management and communication skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or related field. Professional qualifications (e.g., CPA or similar) are advantageous but not required.

  • Experience with insurance finance processes and collaboration tools (e.g., Oracle, OneStream, Coupa, Smartstream) is advantageous.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project tools.

  • Fluency in spoken and written English.

  • Willingness to travel as required for stakeholder engagements and Group alignments.
