Your Job
Molex is seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer, Semiconductor Foundry Management to join our Silicon Photonics organization.
In this role, you will be the primary engineering interface between Molex and our global silicon photonics foundry partners, ensuring stable production, fast issue resolution, and strong cross-functional alignment for mature-phase wafer manufacturing.
This is a high-impact role supporting Molex's silicon photonics product lines, working across foundries, OSATs, design, test, and quality teams in Singapore, Taiwan, and global partner sites. You will play a critical part in ensuring that complex PIC technologies move from development into robust, scalable, high-yield production.
Our Team
The Silicon Photonics Foundry Management team enables Molex's advanced photonic products by building and sustaining strong partnerships with leading semiconductor foundries and OSATs worldwide.
We sit at the intersection of R&D, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain, ensuring that innovative PIC designs can be manufactured at high volume with the yield, reliability, and cost performance our customers demand. The team operates in a highly collaborative, global environment, working closely with Taiwan-based design and test teams and Singapore-based program and product organizations.
What You Will Do
Foundry & OSAT Program Execution
- Serve as the main engineering interface for mature silicon photonics projects with global foundry and OSAT partners.
- Manage day-to-day technical communication with foundry PI, PE, and QA teams.
- Track wafer lots, engineering builds, deviation reports, and yield performance.
Cross-Functional Issue Resolution
- Work closely with PIC design, test, quality, and OSAT teams to analyze failures and define root causes.
- Drive cross-company problem solving to align corrective actions between Molex, foundries, and assembly/test partners.
- Own issue tracking, action items, and escalation to ensure timely closure.
Manufacturing Stability & Data Review
- Review foundry reports, wafer maps, test data, and excursions.
- Identify trends, risks, and early warning signs of yield, reliability, or process drift.
- Ensure Molex and its partners are aligned on process windows and control plans.
Technology Transfer & Production Support
- Support process and product transfer from R&D into manufacturing when required.
- Help ensure engineering knowledge, specs, and lessons learned are properly transferred to foundry partners.
Global Collaboration
- Coordinate daily with teams in Singapore, Hsinchu, and global partner sites.
- Act as a bridge between Molex engineering teams and overseas manufacturing partners.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–3 years (Engineer) or 4–6 years (Senior Engineer) of experience in semiconductor, photonics, or wafer-fab environments.
- Hands-on experience in PI, PE, NPI, or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience working with foundries, OSATs, or external manufacturing partners.
- Ability to analyze data, manage technical issues, and communicate clearly across organizations.
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience in silicon photonics, PICs, or optoelectronic devices.
- Background in CMOS foundry operations (QA / PI / PE workflows).
- Experience with assembly, packaging, or final test in OSAT environments.
- Familiarity with yield analysis, SPC, and wafer-level statistics.
- Formal training in project or program management.
