About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Finance Data Engineer to lead our critical journey of migrating on-premise financial data to AWS cloud environments and spearhead the automation of critical financial reporting.You'll join a dynamic and agile data team and collaborate closely with our internal IT team, data analysts, and finance stakeholders to deliver robust and scalable data solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Lead AWS Cloud Migration: Drive the strategic planning and execution of migrating core financial data from on-premise VMs to AWS cloud.
- Build & Optimize Data Pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines for automated financial reporting and analytical dashboards.
- Data Architecture Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and implement advanced data engineering practices and technologies (e.g., DataOps, FinOps) to optimize existing data architectures.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with finance teams to understand business requirements, translating them into technical solutions and clearly communicating complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- End-to-End Project Ownership: Take ownership of data projects from design to deployment, including Datalake management, data collection, cleansing, and storage.
What We're Looking For:
- Expertise in SQL for large-scale relational and distributed databases, including CRUD operations, performance tuning, and data cleansing (ETL/ELT).
- Strong Python development skills with proficiency in data engineering libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, pyspark).
- Demonstrable experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, Athena) and Databricks.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing data pipelines using orchestration tools like Dagster or Airflow.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, with a proven track record of leading data projects independently.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business logic and communicate effectively across teams.
